Major and Minor Services

MINOR CAR SERVICE

Minor doesn’t imply that this car service is any less important than a major service. Instead it infers that this essential service is relatively quick – preventing unnecessary wear, failure, and damage to your vehicles major parts. Minor service intervals occur more frequently than major services, and will vary according to a vehicle’s make, model, and manufacturer guidelines. What can you expect in a minor service? Mechanical staff will change the engine oil and filter, and then check the following:

R

Brakes

R
Exhaust and transmission

Engine belt, filters, and hoses
R
Suspension and steering

Lights
R
Tyres and tyre pressure
R
Windscreen wipers
R

R
Top up other fluids and oils to keep the car running in tip-top condition!

The service book will be stamped accordingly and a vehicle inspection report handed to the customer.

MAJOR CAR SERVICE

Like the minor service, a major service is designed to extend a vehicle’s engine life and performance. A major service, however, is more thorough. The technician will go through the same checks as for a minor service, do an engine oil and filter change, and then inspect:
